Note: Dear league players, we have to postpone the start date to 10/15 for all leagues due to the current Covid-19 environment making it difficult for players to schedule matches and for us to obtain courts from our partner facilities / clubs due to Covid-19 polices. League cost: $60
Tennis prizes to winners and runner-ups of all groups. This a genderless level-based event for adults and juniors.
Once players are placed into a group, matches are played at a mutually agreed upon location and time with the Competitors contacting each other via the Tennis Competitors platform.
This league is for players seeking more match experience and looking to hone and improve their skills without the pressure of affecting their UTR rating. They benefit from competing in a level based genderless group comprising of juniors and adults and benefit from playing different player styles. Players are required to have an existing UTR rating in order to be placed in the proper group with adults showing proof tennis level based on NTRP rating if UTR rating is not available.
3 areas to compete in:
- North County Coastal
- North County Inland
- Central & South San Diego
Players will compete against other players in their group consisting of 8 -10 players.
Match Format
Best of 3 regular scoring sets with a deciding 10-points match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. 12-points (first to 7 points by a margin of 2) tiebreak played at 6-6 in the first two sets.
Due Covid 19 safety regulations, both players will bring a new can of balls and serve with their own balls.. The winning player will need to report the score on the Tennis Competitors platform within 3 days of match completion while the losing player needs to report any scoring discrepancy within 7 days of match completion.
